Melissa has been at SFPCC since 1981. She received her B.A. in elementary education from Elmira College in New York and an M.S. in education from Lesley College (now Lesley University). She was a pre-Kindergarten teacher at a Boston private school before joining SFPCC as a Preschool 2 teacher. She taught in Preschool 2 for two years before becoming Assistant Director of the Center. Melissa also received a certificate in business management from the evening program at Radcliffe College while working at SFPCC.

Debra Foster
Center Assistant Director
Debra has been at SFPCC since 1996. She received her B.A. in early childhood education from Boston University, and was a teacher at a pre-school in Minneapolis before coming to SFPCC. Debra began as a member of the floating teaching staff and then joined the Infant/Toddler/Toddler 1 team, helping to develop the joint classroom program and eventually becoming a lead teacher and team coordinator. She also took on various office responsibilities and in 2007 became the Administrative Assistant for the Center. She helped design and develop the Toddler 2 classroom and curriculum when the Center expanded in 2008 and continued to share her time between the classroom and the administration until she moved into a full-time Infant/Toddler and Educational Coordinator position in 2009. In 2010, she became the Assistant Director.
